Fall is the time for football here at the Cottles house. We have practice every day and games all day on Sat. Katelyn is a cheerleader for Mitches team and loves every minute of it. Mitchells team is the orange and white, Jadens is the black and yellow. They both eat, drink, and sleep football. Katelyn is in all her glory cheering. She is so dang cute. Jaden plays center and snaps the ball. He is very good at it and loves to play defense too. Mitch plays both offense and defense. He took a hard hit to his kidneys, but is doing much better. Hope and pray that neither one of them get hurt seriously! Go Broncos, Go Steelers!! (the name of both their teams)

Football = Black eye
Crew was out playing football with his Dad and brothers the other day and came in just screaming. Apparently he had been "going long" to catch the ball and was running at full speed, not looking were he was going. You guessed it, he ran smack dab right into the metal bar of the tramp. Layed him out flat. Poor little guy, I don't know if the pictures will do it justice or not, but his eye was swollen and turned all black and blue. We call him our little prize fighter!!

Oregon Coast
This last weekend we went with two other couples to the Oregon coast. It is sooo beautiful! One minute you are in the most wooded area and the next you are down by the ocean! The water was freezing, so we just got our feet wet. It was so relaxing, we would stay up all night playing games, sleep in all morning, go to breakfast at lunch time...........needless to say, it was really fun. We saw a couple of lighthouses, some sea lions. They were soo cute and huge! I was able to finish my book and finish the next one. (twilight, and New moon) I can't wait to start #3. If you ask Brady, all I did was read. I loved it. The drive home wasn't that fun. It took 12 hours to get home. We went a different way home through Bend, Oregon. It was really beautiful, but long. Our kids had a great time. They didn't want Aubrey to leave. thanks Owens and Watt's for the great memories!

He was soooo excited and came home the first day a totally loved it. Kate and Jaden love theirs as well. It is amazing, my house has stayed clean for 3 whole days!!! Crew is a little lost in the day, but is enjoying his mommies full on attention, as am I enjoying being with just him. I love fall, it is a great time of year, I can't wait to get out all my fall decor!! :)

Brady's Birthday
Well, I finally did it, I pulled of a surprise party for Brady. He turned 39 on Aug. 19th. I knew he would be expecting something big for his 40th, so I decided to do it this year when he wasn't expecting a thing. We had made plans to go out with some friends to a movie, but little did he know we were going to his party! Our good friends Jodi and David graciously offered to have it at their house. It was decorated so cute. Crystal Ashton made a darling Nebraska Corn huskers cake. Many friends of mine helped out with food. Thank you all for your help, I couldn't have done it without you all!! We got there and he had NO idea. It was so good. He was sooo surprised. David made some great pictures of Brady's face on other peoples bodies, if I can figure out how to down load them I will. We laughed ourselves sick. Brady had a great time and was so shocked at how many people love and care about him. I told him next year for his 40 we are going on a cruise baby! We celebrated the next day with our kids. The kids and I made him a cake and we had our own little party. It was a great weekend!
Kates Birthday!!
Aug. 10th was Kates birthday, she turned six big ones!! I can't believe my little girl is six and going to 1st grade alllllll day!! We had our ward camp out on her birthday, so we celebrated it on Sunday. She wanted an ice cream cake. Chocolate bottom and mint ice cream on top with hot fudge sauce. (a girl after my own heart!) She was blowing out her candles and I look and notice her HAIR is on FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I scream and run to her to hit it out with my hand. Luckily it only burned about an inch up one of her sides. She had no idea her hair was on fire! I think I scared her by screaming. Brady got it all on video tape, it is pretty funny when you watch it. So, all you moms out there with girls with long hair, pull it back when they blow out their candles!!!
